Democratic Architecture – Kamenný vrch

The bachelor thesis intends to add a new perspective to the area of Kamenný vrch, which is currently dominated by a residential function. The urban design defines the center of the site, thus responding to the lack of a unified public space for the inhabitants. The designed mixed-use building is located in the southeast of the area and includes residential units on the upper floors, a vertical farm, and a market. The vertical farm and market bring new work opportunities to the area and are an interesting tourist attraction. The functions and form of the building are primarily influenced by the noise pollution from the surrounding roads and the orientation to the cardinal points.

Climate testing room for personal vehicles

The diploma thesis deals with the design of testing equipment, a climate chamber in particular, to simulate external weather conditions. The chamber walls are made of socalled sandwich insulation panels. Based on the wall thermal properties, heat loss of the chamber was calculated. The conditioned air is supplied by a distribution channel at sides of the chamber. The exhaust air leaves the chamber in the ceiling zone. The ventilation unit is located on the ceiling. The design includes the integration of the UV lamp, simulating sunlight. The chamber will allow the weather effects on the microclimate inside a car to be studied. Furthermore, the sunlight simulations can be carried out in the chamber to detect polymers or varnish aging, and the fading of colours.

Osteled 7c-7d Horsens Refurbishment

Project created during study program on VIA university in Denmark gave form to the following bachelor’s thesis which further develops it into the level of building permit documentation and documentation for execution of the project. Object of the study is located in Horsens in a residential area among several identical residential buildings. The project focuses on refurbishing this building and upgrading it’s standards for living with emphasis placed on economical, energetic and social sustainability. The main idea is to preserve the authenticity of the object by respecting original form and materials while adding modern elements. At the same time to provide diverse and pleasurable living spaces in dwellings, connection with greenery and possibilities of social contact of residents. The load bearing structure of the building is preserved, staircase area demolished and replaced by new communication core including stairs and elevators. Roof truss system and roof construction is determined to be replaced. Project is designed as barrier-free.

Realistic Rendering of a Building with Varying Lighting Conditions

This paper is focused on realistic rendering of interior environments with varying lighting conditions. It proposes methods of setting properties of light sources to achieve a specific scene appearence. It mainly works with light comming from a sky and sun to the scene and describes this light in relation to weather conditions, time of day and overcast factor. The goal is creating easily configurable system in which a single parameter change leads to significant change of lighting conditions. All these changes should be presented in a short video.

v AJ Vaňkát, Michal - Methods of measurement of illumination and practical measuring in study rooms on faculty First Faculty of Medicine Charles University in Prague, Praha 2, Kateřinská 32 Thesis supervisor: RNDr. Jiří Rameš With my Thesis I occupy with measurement and assessment of artificial, day and joint illumination in chosen teaching rooms of 1st faculty of medicine Charles University in Prague, concretely in study rooms of Institute of Science Information and auditory and autopsy rooms of Anatomical institute. In theoretical part of my work I occupy with physical description radiation, light and illumination which is important for their practical measurement and assessment. I occupy also with physiology of visual perception, description of artificial light sources and principles of illumination by day light, so as measuring instruments, quantities which are used to describe illumination. In practical part I summarize advancement and methods of measuring illumination. The estimate of measuring error includes. The outputs of practical measurement are compared with valid norms and recommendations. In conclusion of each room is including not only its suitability but even the recommendation to improve actual state. From results of our measurements comes out that all measured rooms of faculty...
